Almost all states have legalized lottery betting. This generates a great deal of revenue for the State through heavy taxation on the income that is generated through gambling.

One has to be careful while engaging in gambling activities as they can lose all their wealth hoping to win back all the fortune. Also, it is very easy to get addicted to gambling. If one is addicted to gambling they would require professional help to get out of their addiction. Like any other addiction here too the addiction sets in gradually and takes control of one’s entire personality. Such individuals will spend all their monthly income on betting. They will start using their possessions for betting when their monthly in come is not sufficient. They will ultimately end up in debt and finally bankrupt.

Gambling when it is moderate can help one to relax and it can also teach one to cope with uncertainties of life. It also enhances one’s social life where lots of new friendships are made. For people who run their own business such contacts are vital.
