It is a network where people can access any information from the any part of the world as long as it is hosted on the worldwide web. No other invention of the human race has revolutionized and changed our life style as much as the internet.

Today one can get everything one wants by staying in their house; they can get medical advice, order food, select and even try a dress online and shop all types of items and products etc. Internet has increased the pace of communication dramatically and it is almost instantaneous. This has great impact on how businesses have to be run. Internet has made the world a very small place. Hence most of the businesses have acquired a global status. Different mediums are used to set up the network. In some places, the telephone wires are used; some systems and countries have switched to optical fiber and other sophisticated systems have moved to wireless connectivity or radio signals.

Internet has a lot of advantages, it helps one get almost any information on any topic under the sky. Internet serves as a powerful tool for communication. Email has almost replaced the conventional postal mail and it has also replaced the paper documents to a great extent. Online tutoring, online courses, etc help the field of education a great deal. Also, with the internet it is also possible to be virtually present in any part of the world through web conferencing tools. The full potential of the internet is yet to be achieved and its uses keep increasing day by day. It is slowly encroaching in to all aspects of life but for the good.
